hi, i’m erin. i’m an intersectional feminist, beauty junkie, craft beer enthusiast, picky foodie, and wannabe yogi.
i grew up watching my mom put on make up every day, and i had little to no interest in it until i went off to college. while i was studying art history, i also explored different creative outlets that interested me, becoming most enamored with make up, writing, and baking. i started to play with make up more and more, researching and testing out different products and formulations.
i lost my mom to breast cancer in january of 2009, in between my first and second semesters of graduate school, where i continued studying art history. doing my make up and being interested in beauty was a way for me to feel connected to my mom after her death, and the ritual of putting my make up on every morning is one of my favorite parts of the day.
oddly enough, i was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer in september of 2015 at the age of 27. i underwent bilateral mastectomies with reconstruction in october 2015, and i am halfway through two years of chemical induced menopause via ovarian suppression.
i am a higher ed fundraiser by trade, after spending over seven years at various art museums. in between keeping up with work and life, you can find me sharing delicious food and drinks with friends and family, binge watching comedies, and spending quality time with my husband, who makes every day the best day.
